Privacy notice
What we collect through this website, why, who handles it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
Master Cohost is a trading name of Master Cohost Ltd (company number 17431974, registered office 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX). We are the controller of the personal data described here: we decide why and how it is used. Master Cohost Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (the data protection fee register), and so is Tech Equity Property Ltd.
What we collect
Only what you type into one of our forms:
- Your name, email address and, if you give it, your phone number
- About the property: postcode, number of bedrooms and number of properties
- A link to your listing or website, if you ask for an audit
- Your message, and which tier you are interested in
- If you sign up for the newsletter: your email address, your name if you give it, and when you asked and confirmed
What we do not collect
The income estimate is worked out in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to us until you ask for the full report.
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising tags, so we do not track you between pages or sites.
To stop automated abuse of the forms, we keep a one-way hash of your network address for a few hours. It cannot be turned back into the address and is deleted automatically.
Why we use it, and on what basis
We use your details to:
- Reply to you, and send the report or audit you asked for. Lawful basis: taking steps you asked for before a possible contract. Only the members of our team who answer requests can see them, through a signed-in admin area.
- Follow up once or twice if you have not replied, and arrange a call if you want one. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in answering an enquiry you started. Every follow-up is written or checked by a person, and you can tell us to stop at any time.
- Send you the newsletter, if you asked for it and confirmed by the link we emailed. Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the unsubscribe link in every newsletter or by emailing us. We record when you asked and confirmed, so we can show you agreed.
- Keep records if you become a client. Lawful basis: the contract, and the law (accounting and tax records).
What we never do
We do not sell your details, share them for anyone else's marketing, or add you to a newsletter you did not ask for. We do not make decisions about you by automated means alone.
Who handles it for us
A small number of providers process your details on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions:
- Tech Equity Property Ltd (company number 15813867): runs this website and our booking platform for us, and takes payments
- Google (Firebase App Hosting, Firestore and Google Cloud): runs this website, in Google's Netherlands region (europe-west4), stores your request so our team can answer it, and hosts our customer database, in Google's Iowa region in the United States
- Google Workspace and Zoho Mail (its EU data centre): our email
- Listmonk, run for us by Tech Equity Property Ltd on Google Cloud in Iowa, United States: holds the newsletter list and sends the newsletter, if you subscribe
- Stripe: card payments, if you become a client on a monthly plan
Where it is stored
This website runs in Google's Netherlands region; the UK recognises the European Economic Area as protecting personal data adequately. Our customer database is held in Google's Iowa region in the United States, and Google (for our email) and Stripe (for payments) may also process your details there. There we rely on the UK's approved safeguards: the UK–US data bridge for certified companies, or the International Data Transfer Addendum. Ask us and we will tell you exactly where your details are held.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead anywhere: two years from our last contact, then deleted automatically
- Clients: for the contract and six years after it ends, as accounting and tax rules require
- Rate-limiting records: a few hours, deleted automatically
- Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe. An unconfirmed sign-up is never stored; its link stops working after seven days. A link that has been used is remembered for eight days as a code that does not contain your address, so it cannot be used twice or after a newer one
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong or incomplete
- Delete your details
- Stop or limit how we use them, including stopping all follow-ups
- Send your details to you or someone else in a usable format
How to ask, or complain
Use our contact page or reply to any email from us. We will answer within one month, and it is free.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would be grateful for the chance to put it right first.
Changes to this notice
If we change what we collect or who handles it, we update this page first. Last updated 21 October 2026.
